Capillaries are a high-quality ordered array, similar to image conduits except that the solid optical fibers are replaced with hollow glass tubes. INCOM uses the same highly developed glass drawing technology to produce these hollow arrays in a wide variety of cross sections, pore sizes, and lengths. The hollow tubes are manufactured in clear or crosstalk-reducing black glass. INCOM’s microcapillary array plates consist of dense orderly arrays of flow-through capillaries that are used in a wide variety of analysis, sensing, and processing functions. The plates are manufactured using advanced technology that gives unprecedented flexibility in the choice of capillary internal diameter (ID) and plate thickness at a lower cost than traditional technology.
